· Washington FDI CommitteeOur goal is to help Chinese businesses to invest in the United States. The U.S. welcomes Chinese investors to register companies in the States and provides preferential policies to encourage foreign direct investment from Chinese businesses. Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays a major role in the U.S. economy, both as a key driver of the economy and an important source of innovation, exports and jobs. The United States has always provided foreign investors a stable and welcoming market. As a place to do business, the United States offers a predictable and transparent legal system, low taxes, outstanding infrastructure, and access to the world’s most lucrative consumer market. As Chinese economy is more and more integrated with the world economy, both Chinese government and businesses see the tremendous opportunity to "Go Abroad". The US has become a favorable place for many Chinese companies as they develop their global strategies. As all the financial incentives toward investment are offered by state/local government in the US, CASIC member offices are naturally the place where Chinese companies can make the initial contacts and establish their understanding about the different characteristics of the various regions in the US. CASIC looks forward to the opportunity to work with our Chinese investment prospects as they explore the great opportunities in the US. Chairperson and members
